Uniting Bookkeepers was founded by three Newcastle Bookkeepers, Susan Hart, Julie Ferguson and Bev Holder, each having substantial practices and practicing with a collective of 45 years of experience.  We were concerned with the Bookkeeping industry having a low level reputation, and found that Bookkeepers operated with varying skill levels and very little understanding of standards.

We found a need for bookkeepers to unite under a single banner; the Bookkeeping industry is changing and professionalism, standards, guidelines and qualifications are of a high priority.

Uniting bookkeepers was formed and from 2006 to date we have conducted workshops, monthly networking and information evenings, mentoring programs, finding businesses who need competent and reliable Bookkeepers and general support for the Bookkeeping industry.
