How to Compete with a $30 or $40 an Hour Bookkeeper

The Best Practice Bookkeeper would say, “Who would charge $30 per hour?”
The Best Practice Bookkeeping business owner would say, “How can I make a profit charging $30 per hour?”
The new to the business Registered Bookkeeper would say, “What’s wrong with charging $30 per hour?”
The Professional Registered Bookkeeper would say in a remote location suffering the effects of an economic downturn, “Gosh I have to charge $30 an hour just to feed the kids and pay the rent/mortgage……..

The Never Ending Struggle with Superannuation

I recently attended a dinner where the speaker delivered a 15 minute talk on the rules around superannuation; he had a few tips and talked about the requirements for employers to ensure they were complying with Super Stream and paying their employees super.

The people at table rolled their eyes; you see most of them were bookkeepers.
